   While visiting the archaeological complex Orhei, you feel that breeze of civilizations so far, that sense of fairy tale, which is present here, by its nature has been preserved till today. Set in a landscape composition of which is strikingly contrasting with the usual general geographical morphology of Bessarabia Orhei is a huge and unexpected surprise. Orhei is a true work of art located in an area so small, Raut river valley between Trebujeni and Butuceni Orhei at a distance of 60 km north-east of Chisinau, in a historical and geographical area famous in ancient times as a Forests Orheiului or Country Orheiului. Archaeological reserve name is derived from the name of historic towns, medieval town Orhei that existed on these lands since the XV-XVI, name later evolved into Orhei.    Central promontory or the actual place of medieval Orhei and other archeological sites from different historical eras, waves of earth walls, stone complex, called Fish. The promontory is of irregular oval shape, oriented from west to east, with a length of 2000m, the maximum width of 700m, is surrounded on three sides (north, east and south) of water Raut, gathered in a very deep canyon, carved in Sarmatian limestone layers, with rocky and steep edges, representing a natural fortress. Only access to that space at present as in historic times is to the west, where the river bed is very close to a segment of the canyon road already.    Vizintînd complex "Orhei" will remain amazed by the sights seen in those places which are not repeated in our country.
