      Monastery "Veveriţa" is a recently formed monastic settlement, situated on the outskirts of the village with the same name, Ungheni. From the available data we find that the monastery was founded by 1922-1924, beautiful church, whose patron is unknown. During the Soviet period, in 1948, the monastery became temporarily squirrel Capriana hermitage monastery, and in 1952 it was finally closed. At that time some monks detained in prisons or other refugees, and two of them, Anthony and Tarasios, 1960 after refusing to leave the village were killed by the Soviets. Monastery buildings were destroyed for the benefit of the local farm. The church was used as a warehouse and was later used as manure. In 1985, the church was burned. Over many, in 1993, the monastery was restored, thus causing disputes between the Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bessarabia Metropolis for dominion over it.   In August of 1994, the ruined church hill, church foundation was laid with the winter festival of "Our Lady of All Saints', and cells for monks of the abbey.    Building them has a great plan, right wing, where the winter church, is made in Russian style, and the left in the Gothic style. Above tends to divide the building into two, the Gothic bell tower rises a height of 35 m. The shape of the church is rectangular winter without boundaries between the narthex and nave. The altar is separated from the nave by the iconostasis simple. The church ceiling is true, but the walls are adorned with various icons. On the roof above the nave, rises three towers.
